CUM with me...

This is actually a very old event; almost two months ago to be exact. I’ve been meaning to write about it for quite a while, but, you know laa, work work work..

So, Gwyneth from Strat-A-G Designs invited me to this so called LIVE art exhibition in Palate Palette a while back. She and Kelvin from Lucideas co-hosted an event named ‘WHAT THE DUCK?’, under a collective effort called Creative United Movement or CUM as they’re fondly known..

After driving around the area, Boy and I sorta got lost, it seems Palate Palette is quite a secluded abode supporting the art scene/night life. But, found it we did, and we weren’t disappointed with the location and ambiance either.

So, WTF is What The Duck?

Well, in simple words, What The Duck was actually meant to be a LIVE painting session to the groove of LIVE DJs.

The hostess for the night, Joanne Kam Poh Poh, really warmed the crowds up. After comparing her well endowed chest with the female crowd and saying that as a Penang girl, she had the biggest (she claimed!), she went on to introduce the three artists involved, eagerly waiting on the sidelines.

Three artists, Munkao, Zazi and Blink participated, displaying their specialty in portraying their work of art. Munkao, with his fanaticism towards penises, Blink and his neverending Artline Marker dots and Zazi with her stenciled art, poured all their worth onto three easelled canvasses. Twilight Action Girl supplied the groove for the night with their Brit-electropop loops.

Yamin, from Don’t Panic supplied us with the latest in Creative Collaterals through the Don’t Panic gift pack. Haha, and the most surprising item in the pack was a small pair of panties with a silkscreen logo of CUM. Hmm.. we were required to take the most creative picture of ourselves with the panties..~lecherous grin...
