~Man Asks Reddit To Help Photoshop Last Photo With Mother Who Died of Cancer

Reddit user elmstreeter asked the reddit community for help Photoshopping out the oxygen cannula (the tube that delivers oxygen from the tank) from the last photo he had with his mother who just died of cancer.

Reddit users quickly jumped in, each improving upon the previous person’s modifications.

Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul

For its album Dig Out Your Soul, which debuts October 7, Oasis gathered 15 street bands and taught them the lyrics and sheet music for four of its new songs.

Lat week, the bands were then deployed all over the city -- mostly to subways -- to perform the music with their own flavor. Each performance featured a little sign that said, "You are the first to hear this new Oasis song" -- bringing a little bit of magic to busy commuters, and some eclectic street charm to Oasis's new oeuvre.

Nice to see the high-profile artists disseminate their music with such an open-arms, interpretive approach. Feels so human.

They had a reunion after 40 years and all were looking healthy and amazingly well.

Mountain Bike speed World record

Eric Barone, who broke the world speed record for mountain biking in Nov 4, 2001, tried to break it again by riding down Cerro Negro volcano in Nicaragua.

Seconds into his descent, Barone's bicycle snapped in two, hurtling the cyclist down the volcano.

"It looked as if there was a rock or something in the path that made the bicycle break in two," said one of Barone's assistants.

His first run was on a standard Mountain Bike and he smashed the previous world record (set by himself a couple of years earlier) by recording a speed of 101mph. His second run, on a specially modified bike ended in this spectacular crash. He broke several ribs and his sternum but was lucky to be alive.

He had crossed the speed sensor when the crash happened whcih recorded his speed at 107mph.
